Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Aroma is earthy coffee, roasted malts and some smoked malts. Dark caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting loose tan head. Pretty attractive. Flavour is oak, smoke, peat and and vanilla with some berry fruit. Palate is nice full bodied with a velvety carbonation.

Bottle at RBESG ’14, day 4 not so grand tasting at Craft Clerko, 10/08/14. Black topped with a dirty tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is big roast, light charr, dark chocolate, bitter toffee notes. Taste carries a faint lactic tone, toffee fudge, spice, rich chocolate. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Nice easy drinking impy, no huge depth to this one but a pleasant enough offering.

330ml bottle from drinkmonger. Black pour, tan head. Coffee, chocolate, both milk and bitter, if that makes sense. Long bitter finish. Great beer.

Bottle from Tap East, Westfield, Stratford. Deep, dark brown colour with a tight beige head. Nice aroma of coffee, spice and toast. Good body, rich, quite thick, rather oily in texture. Slightly bitter chocolate finish. Pretty good.

600 yen half-pint on tap at the Tenma Beer Belly. A coffee/chocolate nose with a creamy smooth coffee flavor. Very easy to drink, sweet stout goodness. Creamy coffee taste, good stuff.
