Bottle from Waitrose. Pours golden amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma is floral over some sort of deeper spicy? thing. Flavor is malty and hinting oak astringency. It’s nicely bitter. Gets quite floral as things come along. Very flavorul for a "light" ale.

500ml bottle. Pours light gold with no head. Aroma is grassy hops and butterscotch. Not that much to start. Some grass in the finish with butterscotch on the aftertaste.

Medium offwhite head. Pale yellow body with fine-bubbled carbonation. Floral fruity aroma with orangey notes. Dry-sweet papery fruity floral taste with raisiny wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish papery resiny perfumy fruity citric aftertaste with floral notes. Nice, straightforward, and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Sainsbury’s, London.)

Bottled from Sainsbury’s. Yellow / straw colour and pours to give a short-lived head. Aroma is grassy with a bit of caramel. This is beer is pretty highly carbonated for an english blonde, which makes it lively on the palate. The big thing that lets this beer down is the after taste. It is very bitter and grassy. Not for me I’m afraid

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy deep golden. Buttery nose. Mi sweet, fruity. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Butter and slight grass. Salty finish with some resin. Too much butter to be a good quencher.

50cl bottle from Sainsburys. Straw with a fast-fading loose white head, and light carbonation; grainy wheaty aroma with a touch of honey; tastes like a Bavarian lager with a sweet grainy body and a toasty Saaz hop bitterness to finish. Good, but not what I was expecting.

Bottle from Sainsburys,Kidlington, Oxon. Consumed in a field at Towersey Festival, Oxon, August 29th 2009 One of Loz’s favourite breweries so we always end up taking some Bath beers to a festival. Pours pale golden with white bubbly head. The aroma is fruity and with a dab of honey in there, there is also some hops straining to make an impression. Taste is fruity and whilst you hope that it will be as crisp, fresh and zesty as you might expect from this style of beer it never quite manages to. Its reasonably refreshing and has a nice bitter edge and bite, but the maltiness and toffee flavours dull it slightly its fine enough though. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1
