From my brother: pours copper with a thick frothy head. Aroma is pine and hefty grapefruit. Taste is fairly bitter... not sure how old this is but still packs a punch. Interesting to drink an old school IPA in this era of everyone dealing in haze.

Growler. A dark golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, spices, malt, and toffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel, spices, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Pours an amber from a tap. Rather normal example of an IPA. Nothing special, but certainly nothing bad.

2nd August 2011
GBBF Cask. Hazy amber beer, suddy pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Good fresh tasting hops. They border on that ’stinging’ sensation that you get from very fresh hops. Bitter citrus. Malt backbone supports well. Finishes semi dry with a mildly bitter aftertaste.
