Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire 19th August 2015 Pours amber with an off-white head. The aroma is subtle a touch of citrus and malt. Really streaky and with a really furry lengthy pithy bitterness, perhaps lingers a little too long. Like this and for a 4.5% it’s a very good effort. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.6

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Golden amber with a loose scummy-looking cream head; malty aroma; soft malty body with a immediate hit of herbal hops; giving a sustained spicy finish with some underlying caramel. Nothing particularly American about this.
