16 ounce can thanks to Zid. Thanks Chris!

It pours a slightly hazy orange, plenty of foam and it sticks around though it does shrink some.

Grassy hops are up front in the nose, melons and oranges with a good toasted malt character round things out. Smells hoppy but not bitter.

The taste has the grass and the noble hop crispness that comes with the style. The toasted malt is amped up from the smell. The melon is there, mostly in the finish.

Oily slick mouthfeel which I enjoy.

Super nice brew!

Also known as \"Collaboration #1\" with Hoppebrau.
I poured my can into a mug (correct for the style).
The appearance was a burnt orange almost brown color with a thin white foamy head that concaved to leave a little valley of a head in the middle. Moderate messy lacing.
The aroma leads with the grassy bitter hopping, full and charging the malts in a nice smooth sweet malty lager yeastiness. Rich caramel, toastiness, nuts all come together to blend nicely.
The flavor takes the malts nicely to the hops, blends sweet and lets the bitterness really collide well. Huge bitter hoppy burst into the malts in the aftertaste. Dry grassy bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Good carbonation is felt all around. A bit more bitterness comes across than normally associated with the amber lager style, but hey, the brewers warned us, right? I’m not worried, are you?
Overall, an amber lager hopheads could really like. I say try it if you see it.
