Cask at the Euston Tap. Dark, honey-brown pour with a medium, creamy head. Malt and cookie dough in the nose, with some toffee. Malty, nutty flavor, lightly sweet, with some bran flakes in there. Light to medium in body with smooth carbonation. Some decent bitterness in the finish, sort of herbal and grassy, with further notes of tiasted malts. Doesn’t blow me away but is still pretty OK.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 24 Nov 2010) Dark reddish brown colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, apricots, caramel and dusty hops. Malty taste with notes of dried fruit, toasty malt and generous amounts of earthy hops in the finish. Medium body, with a lingering malty sweetness. Quite nice winter warmer.
