Vestfyen Christmas Household Beer is, however, a bit sweeter. This makes it an excellent companion during the festive Christmas season, e.g. to accompany rice porridge.
Vestfyen Christmas Household Beer is sold during the period before Christmas and is available in 33cl bottles.

330 ml bottle. Body is very dark brown with a thin, dense beige head. Aroma is almost overwhelming sweet malt and molasses. It should not be possible to smell sweet, but that is what this does. Flavor is not surprisingly extremely sweet without any bitterness or alcohol to break it up. It feels like a messy soup of malt, molasses and syrup. I never been able to figure out this beer style, but I have sampled better versions than this.

from aldi. dark brown, smooth a bit fluffy light brown head. aroma of chocloate and sweet malts. a little "flat". flavor is pretty nice. sweet malts, very faint dark fruity notes, some brown sugar, vey faint licorice. cola nut. ends fast and sweet. flavor is good for the style, and also imo good for a lowalc beer, but you have to be into sweet beers.

Very dark brown, decent light brown head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel and molasses, with a little touch of grainy malt and hay too. Flavour is sweet with notes of raw grain and brown sugar. Definitely one of the better hvidtøl.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a dense off-white head. Aroma is mouldy and herbal, not really pleasant. Flavour to the contrary is quite nice. There is a distinct honey note in the flavour which together with sweet caramel notes provides the beer with a nice sweetness which lasts into the finish. Different hvidtøl. Nice one.

Bottle, 1.8%. Sweet brown sugar aroma, strangely dusty and milky. Clear very dark brown colour. Quite stable light brown head. Very (too) sweet flavour. Lost of dusty sugar flavour. Metallic aftertate. Thin to medium body.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good head. Mostly lasting. Redbrown colour. Bad fishy aroma. Sweet flavor, soft carbonated. A very bad beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) I never seize to wonder why these "hvidtøl" labels have to be this ugly and primitively naive. As if it’s only produced for fools. This is close to being the worst. Malty and roasted without much fullness in the body. Completely lacking the cloying sweetness so often found in this style - thank God. No bitterness though, but overall a decent brew. 040300
