Vestfyen Christmas Household Beer is a traditional, Danish-type, dark household beer. It creates the perfect balance between sweetness, full body and a slight taste of pilsner.

Vestfyen Christmas Household Beer is, however, a bit sweeter. This makes it an excellent companion during the festive Christmas season, e.g. to accompany rice porridge.

Vestfyen Christmas Household Beer is sold during the period before Christmas and is available in 33cl bottles.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, as Uglens Nisseøl, from Aldi Hirtshals. ABV is 1.8%. Mahogany colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel and liquorice. Sweet and very malty flavour, caramel and liquorice again. Hardly any bitterness.

Flaske på rbhd-samling ombord på Fridtjofen jan-16: ser ut som, og smaker som solbærsaft (dog med skum). Passer nok godt til julegrøten eller riskremen.

Bottle, as Uglens Nisseøl. Pours clear darkish copper brown with small tan head. Clear aroma of raw malt and yeast. Sweet atoma of sugar, molasses and semi-processed malt. Lingering, grainy aftertaste. Awful. Or, to quote Dedollewaitor (not necessarily from the rating of this beer): Filth!

Bottle. A dark amber to brown beer with a minimal-sized off-white head. The aroma is grainy and malty, almost cola like. It’s sweet and cola-ish in the mouth, with dark malt extract and some dried fruits. Medium body, quite sticky. The finish is sweet, with caramel and cola. Well, it’s drinkable and all that, but I feel no urge to have it again. 101210
