Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours clear, light yellow with a modest, bubbly head. Bread and sugar aroma, with light yeast and floral notes. Very sweet flavor, some dough, bubblegum, candi sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warm finish, more sugar and yeasty bread. Not bad.

Received in trade from depechemode1983, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a thinnish bubbly white head that recedes slowly and sticks lots of lace everywhere. Smells of sweet juicy fruits, apples, pears, maybe mango in there. Slightly earthy, peppery spicy aroma. Taste is honey and light brown sugar mixed with some sweet pear and tropical fruit with a spicy peppery edge. Smooth sweet mouthfeel, medium body that finishes just this side of dry, medium level of bubbles. Not to bad, but almost seems watery if that’s possible in an 8% brew. I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn’t seek it out again.

Bottle as shown. Pours a pale yellow golden with a small frothy white head that leaves spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a lemon zest malt and honey. Thin mouthfeel with a dry clove and bready malt and nice dry finish. Hides alcohol decently, a good Belgian strong ale from SKA.

Pour is a bright gold with a small white head. Aroma is sweet with some honey and Belgian yeast. Flavor is again sweet with some fruity esters and a whole lotta candi sugar. Decent try but way to sweet.

Yellow waxed bottle. Small head that fades quick over a hazy golden body. Aroma is grainy, light corn, spicy to pepper Belgian yeast notes. A bit of alcohol as well. Taste is alcohol, Belgian yeast, soggy malt, estery, peppery. Lively bubbles. A pour attempt to be real honest.
