Marking 50 years since his death, we’re celebrating the life of one of our greatest statesmen and war time leaders, Sir Winston Churchill. We have joined forces with the Sir Winston Churchill Memorial Trust to brew a golden ale described as fresh, fruity and hoppy to honour the great man.
Sweet malt is balanced by clean bitterness from Challenger, Pilgrim and First Gold hops. Styrian as a late hop gives tropical and citrus fruits with a floral fragrance. Dry hopped with East Kent Goldings (as a tribute to Mr Churchill) for more fresh hop and with fragrant Amarillo, Centennial and Cascade for extra floral, citrus and tropical fruit.

Cask at the Marlow Donkey (GK), Marlow. Pale amber with a loose white head; some tropical fruit aroma; straightforward bitter taste; and a dry finish. Not exactly bad, but lacking character.
