Port City BA COLOSSAL 6 is the barrel-aged version of our Russian Imperial Stout. Aged in a bourbon barrel from One Eight Distilling for 10 months, the barrel's journey adds to the complex character of this beer. As this freshly emptied bourbon barrel was loaned to Zeke's Coffee where the roasted coffee beans rested for a month. Next, the barrel was refilled with sourced six-year wheated bourbon. And finally, the barrel was filled with our COLOSSAL 6.

Pouring dark as the ocean's deep abyss, this imperial stout has notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and hazelnut in the aroma. Full-bodied and viscous on the mouthfeel, this beer balances flavors of vanilla, molasses, and smooth bourbon warmth - finishing big, bold and captivating.

Sampled at the 8th annual Battle of the Barrel Aged Beers, listed at 11% and noted that the coffee is Zeke's Coffee. Leggy, cola brown, no head.  Nose took a second to come out, then it hit with cocoa and coffee and plenty of booze.  There is def some wheated Bourbon, some nougat.  Flavor has more coffee and cocoa, booze, caramel, toffee, burnt toast.  The base beer is still alive, if not a bit oxidized.  Whiskey barrel is there and it's quality.  Everything about this feels high end.  The one dig is a hotter boozy finish.  8 3 8 3 15

Sampled at Snallygaster 2019. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted coffee, roast malts. Some heat from the barrel, but also a little bit of smoothness. Light spicy note. Tastes a lot like the regular colossal.

Roasty finish. Black pour with good head and lacing. Coffee. Roasty. Dry enough finish for my liking, bitter. Tap at Snally.
