Gravity cask at the Red Lion 2015 Beer Festival, Histon. Dark brown with a magenta/purplish hue. Translucent. Quite flat. Overwhelming scent of coffee, lovage, lavender and liquorice. Bitter bottom-of-the-pot coffee grounds flavour. Hints of astringency don’t aid its cause. And the body is weak and flat, flat, flat. Ok.
