Fresh out of the oven, this fruitcake inspired GBS is a blend of A. Smith Bowman’s Bourbon-finished Port barrel blended with 11-month Bourbon barrel-aged Belgian Quadrupel to create a decadent final product, finished on dates, cherries, and other dark fruits, and a touch of citron.

Another departure from the stout base, though not as good as the barleywine. This beer had a lot of dried fruits, spices and a heaping pile of apples. Cinnamon, cherries. A touch too boozy, very warming.

12oz stubby, murky brown. Lots of spice and malt and tons of apple. Odd. Malt and earth then all the spice and apple. Off dry finish. 6 4 6 2 10

Lots of gingerbread and some roast. Not a great beer. Black pour with decent head. Light tang. Plenty of caramel. Bottle thanks to Radagast.
