To celebrate nine years of brewing we created Colossal® IX in 2020, a German-style Weizenbock – a style fusing characteristics of a wheat and bock beer. Mahogany in color, this malt forward beer boasts a bouquet of ripe banana, clove, and dark fruit capped off with a billowing beige head. The flavor is rich, with a bit of dark fruit, and the finish is creamy and satisfying.

Cans. Pours a hazy burnt siena. Smell is sour dough, cloves, gum caramel. Acidic wheat, banana. Pretty good.

Pint can thanks to hershier2! 7/18/22. Well... had a dunkelweizen earlier, may as well finish with a weizenbock. Murky brown large tan head, good retention. Aroma of banana bread, nuts, caramel. Some dark fruits. Taste is cherry, banana, caramel, plum, vanilla. Full bodied, well balanced, booze well hidden. Very nice.

10oz draft pour at CraftHouse Arlington. Poured a nice deep caramel color with a small brown tinge to it. Aroma was dark, dried cherries. Light wheat, with some banana and clove. Flavor was pleasant, dark fruits, light wheat grain. Booze is there, but is warming, pleasant.

Citrus and florals. Some orange peel. Nice balance and well done like most of their stuff. Respectably done. Great they did a weizenbock for this colossal. Light tangy finish with lingering potpourri.

16oz can pours a chestnut brown with some fizzy beige head. Nose has clove and marzipan and malt and caramel and chewed bubblegum. Raisins and dates. Flavor follows with the dried fruits, caramel, banana, malt, clove. Exactly what you want from the style. Finishes full bodied with a little booze, but solid.
