Draft: Poured a bark brown with a beige colored head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, malty. Taste is hoppy bitterness, citrus, fruity pebbles, piney, resinous, lively finish.

16oz can. Poured a darker color than I expected it to be - copper color, with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was big resin, though not overly pine. Was hoping for more of a spruce, bitter character here, like whole hop cone. More malt forward. It should be fresh, as I just bought it, but it isn't popping like what I was hoping for.

Very deep and dark brown coloured body with a very thick, five to six centimetre tall rich brown head that fades very slowly - nice and deep! Aroma of grass, pine (of course), alcohol, resin and a tiny bit of candy, light malt and cleanser. Medium-bodied; Very rich malts show at first with a lot of sweetness, mainly from caster sugar and even some light apricot and orange fruits with a sweet, syrupy and resinous note that adds even more sweetness - this time with added complexity, but also some alcohol and malt at the end. Aftertaste is rich, deep, slightly floral, but not very bitter at all - some sweetness and alcohol peeks around the edges, but no pine, no 'sappy' flavours and hardly any floral notes at all to speak of. Overall, a fairly nice, deep and brown, very malty IPA with some dry, floral and grassy notes, but not the sap, pine and bitterness that I was expecting. Good to sample, especially on Christmas Eve EVE, but not as good as some others...but the balance is good for the style. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's in Alexandria, Virginia on 05-December-2020 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-December-2020.
