From the off-licence opposite Jing Mei fire station, a 375mm. bottle, corked and wired. Aroma: very funky, wet hay, some cherries. Appearance: very dark, opaque Ribena with 2-3 mm. pink foam. Palate: medium-bodied and tart, softish carbonation; finish is long, pleasant, rather sweet hit in back of the mouth. Taste: medium-sweet with tart notes; still pretty funky though cherries coming through nice. Very enjoyable.

Purply, hazy, has a big cherry note. There's a fairly rich cherry character, light tartness. It's very good, light tartness, some barrel, and a big rich character.

Poured from 375mL bottle (from the 2022 MBCC gold walk tour). Purple-ish red with small pink head. Lots of cherry, some oak, feint hint of vanilla, dry-ish with light carbonation, decent.

375mL bottle. Pours a murky, ruddy mahagony with a light pink head. Nose is full of dirty, rustic funk, musty cherries and old wood. Flavour has tons of musty cherries and old wood. Nice carbonation, reasonable amount of sweetness. Verty fruity with a tart finish. Good stuff.

LCI 7 Feb. Side by side with the barrel Dinish. This one is a bit more balanced, lots of cherry, light opening.

Bottle. Pours clear dark read with small light pink head. Aroma is intense sour cherry, almonds, redcurrant, yeast, and hints of strawberry. Taste is medium sweet, faint bitter, and medium acidic. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sour with intense cherry, redcurrant, oak, almonds, and hints of vanilla. Very well balanced.
