Pale, hazy golden coloured body with a large three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of grass, hay, light coriander seed and a bit of yeast, but no sugars or depth. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy flavour with not much else except from a bit of curacao and oranges and a touch of yeast. Aftertaste shows little complexity with coriander seed, fresh grass clippings and a touch of bananas - that’s it. Overall, a pretty poor saison, which is too bad, because I usually like the brewery and wish them well on 20 years, but this wasn’t too impressive at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 05-April-2015.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Slighltly hazy golden with a thin white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of spice, yeast, apple, bread, mild caramel. The taste is apple, spice, yeast, caramel, herbal hops. Medium bodied, lingering spice.
