Deep dark brown coloured body with a pretty nice, but relatively small one to two centimetre tall off-white and light tan head. Aroma of very strong sugars with the vanilla, lactose, cream, caramel and especially roasted/toasted marshmallows really in the nose here along with some roasted malts and oatmeal - very nice in the nose and quite rich. Medium to Full-bodied; Super strong sweetness dominates up front with a lot of caramel, caster sugar and especially the vanilla-y, creamy notes of the marshmallows, but they are great alongside the pungent malts, making a great balance and blend of the two. Aftertaste is pungent and rich with some alcohol peeking through, but the sugars and especially the malts keep things together nicely and still drinkable, especially in format. Overall, a very nice beer and perhaps the best of the [what was] mixed pack of Double Bass beers as this one was the most balanced and stout-friendly with a good kick of sugars alongside the rich malts - very nice to sample and worth trying to find should they make it again or if you can still find/have a bottle available! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Alexandria, Virginia on 13-November-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack), packaged on 18-October-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 14-April-2023.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2! 1/12/21. Long live Ophelia! Black, thin brown head, fair retention. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, marshmallow. Taste is roast, marshallow, an herbal note. Tad bit thin, tad bit artifical. Okay,
