On draft into a tulip glass
Pours an opaque light straw yellow to gold with a small white head that settles to leave some light lace
Aroma of cantaloupe and honeydew, pineapple, pine and some wintergreen mint.
Taste follows with the melon taking center stage, leads into under ripe pineapple some pine with a little bitterness finding a home. No real minty taste.
Medium body with medium light carbonation, makes this one a smooth sipper, light bitterness balances any sweetness making you reach for your next sip.
Overall a nice double IPA, I'd be interested in trying a can and see if the mintiness is found. Paired well with taco Tuesday.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy yellow haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pine bittersweetness, floral sweet hops, subtle melon & papaya hop notes; clean malts underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine piney bitter to a papaya sweet juiciness; finishes piney, semi-papaya-like with some dryness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper, gentle smoothness, low hop bitterness
Overall: pretty nicely done NEDIPA worthy of coming back to.

Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan (Aug 2024). Faintly cloudy golden-ochre with a large creamy off-white head, citrus peel-coriander aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel taste with faint coriander/mint flavor, smooth thin body, long citrus peel finish. Flavorful DIPA.
