A pale ale that isn’t afraid of flavour. Generous helpings English and American hops add citrus & pine notes to the dry, toffee-nutty taste. Ok, maybe not so ordinary, but definitely good.

Bottle from Aldi, Gorgie [06013]
Golden, clear, big frothy white head
Aroma - touch of citrus, soft sweet cereal malts, little on the nose
Taste as aroma, very soft citrus hop, soft cereal malts, ok, no off notes but rather dull
Palate - Light body, quite smooth palate. Finish is rather dry
Overall - Drinkable, but was just dull tbh

Bottle from Deeside Drink Emporium. It pours clear golden yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is fairly faint...straw, light citrus, tangerine, underlying malt sweetness. The taste is grain, biscuit, straw, soft orange and tangerine, with a dry, lightly citric finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Easy going and pretty drinkable, if a bit forgettable.

Hoppy in both its nose and its taste, however retains a full pale ale flavour.

33cl bottle. Pours a cloudy orange/amber. Nuts, sweet malt and honey on the nose. The taste is completely different - the sweet malt comes and goes quite quickly and the second half is almost entirely the soapy hops with some bitter grain in there too. The palate is ok - fairly rich and at least it cleans ok. Overall, nice for a change but I wouldn’t seek it out.
