Cask at the Heart Of Northumberland, Hexham, 15/05/2025.
Almost clear golden amber topped with a lasting off white head ... good lacing ensues.
Nose is biscuit, straw, stewed fruits, grains.
Taste comprises porridge, oats, biscuit, dull fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Passable twiggy affair but a lot better than the same beer in the nearby spoons that was in terrible condition @4.8.

Cask at Whetherspoons Manchester. Pretty dull and characterless bitter, quite thin and watery even for the ABV.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours a clear amber-brown with moderate sized off white head. Aroma of brown bread, toffee, hay. Taste of biscuit, sweet malts, light caramel, cocoa dusting, straw. Moderate bitterness in the finish, light to medium bodied, fairly slick. Simple but effective, balanced, easy to drink bitter.

Fra cask på The Ship ved Leadenhall: klar dyp gyllen med fint skum som varer. Mye tørr bitterhet her med preg av barskog og urter. Slank maltkropp og enda et nytt bryggeri for meg.

Pours a clear amber colour with a small frothy white head that quickly disappeared. Aroma is malty, toasted malt, light toffee and earthy hops. A moderately sweet taste, toast and biscuit malt with a moderate resiny bitterness.

From wooden cask at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 24.01.20. Clear dark golden. Some white head. Fine taste of sweet pale malt, crystal malt, biscuit and moderate hops. A very drinkable bitter!
