Poured from a 32 oz crowler purchased at CHoP. Aroma is grain forward with grain and bread notes. Hints of alcohol. Light herbal and floral hop notes with light floral and fruity esters. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden orange with a large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light grain notes and a bit of a bread note. Moderately strong bitterness and a hint of alcohol. Medium light herbal, floral hop notes. Faint fruity and floral esters with a light peppery note. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation and a bit of a crisp finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice rustic pilsner. Solid grain character with some background hop notes that add nice complexity.
