On tap at the original location. From notes taken on April 6th. Aroma is subtle, but malt forward. Oats, light roast, hints of chocolate and toasted bread. Faint esters and hop notes. Pours black with a small, thick, creamy dark tan/light mocha head that recedes to a small film that lingers on the edges. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a dry, but creamy finish. Moderate roast and toasted bread notes with light oak and hints of caramel and chocolate. Medium bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Faint esters and a bit of earthy, herbal hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent oatmeal stout, but not amazing. Decent malt profile and a fairly clean fermentation. Balanced hops and bitterness.
