Poured from a 16 oz can dated Jan. 15, 2019. Aroma is hop forward with some nice tropical fruit notes of mango and passion fruit. Medium citrus notes of grapefruit, line and tangerine. Hints of floral notes. Light cracker malt backbone. Pours a hazy, murky, pale straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that exhibits really nice retention as it slowly recedes to a small film that lingers. High lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness and a hint of alcohol spice. Citrus and tropical fruit hop notes are most prevalent with a light floral note. Some stone fruit and red apple esters. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent hazy IPA but a level below the standouts that are being made these days. The esters in the flavor are a bit strong and box out some of the more delicate hop flavors.
