Brewed in March 2014. Light, spritzy open fermented sour saison utilizing a large portion of unmalted wheat, for a rustic graininess. Similar grainbill to a traditional Lambic, hopped with whole leaf cascade harvested locally in a friend’s back yard.

Wine variant poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly fruity with nice green grape notes along with some lighter lemon, pineapple and stone fruit. Light oak and grain notes. Pours a fairly clear, bright, golden orange with a medium sized, fairly thick, white head that recedes steadily to a film that lingers on the edges. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic, but well rounded with a light sweetness and grain note. Medium light grape and lemon notes with lighter pineapple and stone fruit. Low bitterness and light oak notes. Light mineral notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice sour ale. Solid barrel and fruity notes with decent mineral notes and a well rounded sourness.
