On tap at the brewery. Aroma is malt forward with medium roast notes, light toasted bread and cracker. Lighter chocolate and caramel notes. Hints of floral hops and fruity esters. Pours a dark brown, but not quite black with a medium large, pillowy, creamy tan head that recedes to a thin film that lingers on the edges. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with nice malt notes. Some roast and lighter toasted bread and caramel notes with hints of chocolate. Light cracker malt notes as well. Low bitterness and faint hop notes. Faint fruity esters. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice light bodied dark beer. Malt forward with a fairly dry finish. Very easy drinking.
