Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly herbal with quite a bit of sage but also some nice blood orange notes. Hints of floral notes with faint oak and grain notes. Pours a hazy good.with a medium large, pillowy white head that recedes very quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a medium acidity. Light grain notes with a moderate bitterness. Light oak and white wine tannins. Medium blood orange notes with quite a bit of sage. Honestly, the pith from the blood orange and the very strong sage notes don't work as well in the flavor as they do in the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I really like sage and the aroma on this beer is killer. The flavor on the other hand, is just too much; the sage is very overpowering, and while it works nicely with the zest of the blood orange it plays very poorly with the pith. Your palate does adjust, but it's a bit offensive upfront.
