Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is ginger forward with a lot of chocolate. Some lighter roast and lime notes. Medium light alcohol spice with some bourbon and light oak. Pours dark black, but not quite jet black with a medium large, thick, slightly creamy, dark tan head that slowly recedes. Moderatley high lacing with moderately long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate and some lighter roast notes. Moderately strong ginger with some balanced lime notes. Light acidity with medium light fruit notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Overall, a better beer than I was expecting.
