One of the crazy beers for Project Excess by Distant Lands. We’ve dug in deep to bring you a sticky haze bomb of a Double IPA. Chewy as a chewit. Hopped at 30g/L with Simcoe, El Dorado, Cashmere, Riwaka and Idaho 7. Flattered to be brewing in the same gang as the others involved in this project; Rivington, Emperor's and Pastore. A top tier bunch!

Can. A medium haze on this orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth pale malts, a forward creamy sweetness does it's best to be dominant but the hops here show them who's boss. Light cooling pine into a tangy bitterness and some savoury skunk. Soft citrus, a touch of bitterish melon, some suggestions of tropical fruits. Smooth finish delivers some juicy hop fruits. Good stuff, I think more could have been done with this very good quintet of hops but, overall a good all round hop character dipa.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 01/02/2025.
Murky orange topped with a lasting white crown.
Nose is dank hop, pine needle, grass, gooseberries, papaya, lychee, grapefruit.
Taste comprises stone fruit, grass, pissy NZ hop attack, dank chimes, guava, pine resin, white grape.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with an ongoing Riwaka lead assault of Kiwi hops allied to a light rising boost.
Solid punchy NZ fuelled DIPA.
