Collab w/ Chuck's Hop Shop
Stranded in the Mystery Zone is our triticale schwarzbier brewed in collaboration with our friends at Chuck’s Hop Shop. Stranded in the Mystery Zone was brewed with German pilsner, Munich, caramunich, pale chocolate and triticale malts. Our triticale Schwarzbier was hopped in the kettle with Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Tettnang then fermented cold and naturally carbonated with our house lager strain.

Poured from side pull @ Magnet. Dark brown with small beige head. Roasty chocolate malt, clean, enjoyable.

Pale brown. Medium head. Toasty character, and I get the triticale. The schwarzbier character is on the weaker side for the style, without any of the dark malt complexity that the best examples have.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a nice dry toasted malt character, and a touch of earthy, toasted nuts. Flavour is dry and malty, with nicely dark toasted malt, some earthiness, and a hint of toasted nuts. Very dry, with just a touch of sweetness to balance. Very well-made.

4oz pour at The Magnet. Pours black with a beige head. Burnt malts on the nose. Flavour has roasted malts, coffee, and some dried grass. Nice depth. Very good.
