In the build-up to our first festival, Friends & Family & Beer, we've organised a series of collaborations with attending breweries. We joined forces with Magic Rock to bring back a much-loved beer from 2016. Three's Company was our first beer to use JW Lees' yeast and this smooth, juicy IPA is packed with flavours of gooseberry, grape, melon and peach.

Aroma & Flavour: Top notes of gooseberry and grape, backed up by melon, mango and peach
Body: Thick, smooth and juicy
Aftertaste: Resinous hop accents, lingering sweet melon and peach

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pineapple, lemon and mango. Flavour follows the aroma - very sweet and tropical. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Fruity and easy to drink for the ABV.

Bottle shared at Sander stag. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white head. Nice dank and pissy hops in the nose, some lemon, tangerine and grapefruit. Medium sweet flavour with rich and juicy citrus, some tropical bites, melon, apricot, peach, orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with a touch of warmth, more peach, melon and citrus fruits. Awesome.

Bottle from The Hop Locker, South Bank London. Hazy gold orange lasting thick white head. Big intense hoppy aroma. Some lemon and grapefruit. Some signs of a DIPA on the aroma, with a little sweetness in the mouth, some caramel/toffee. Hops are good. Bitter on the finish. Weird combo of bright yellow citrus fruits, then toffee. Yep pretty good. Went well with my prawns. good yellow grapefruit.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, pale gold. Thick, frothy, lasting, white head. Nose has grapefruit juice. White grape. Gooseberry. Notes of fleshy nectarine. Sweet, bready yeast. Hints of pineapple and peach. Smells great. Taste is bready and yeasty sweet. Some floral, herby bitterness. Lots of chew on the palate. Fairly sticky. Big, initial fizz settled quickly. Doesn’t feel the ABV, necessarily. Finishes with more of the sweetness, with some light bitterness right at the end. Hmm. Maybe three does make a crowd.
