Brown with a foamy head. Toffee aroma with hints of banana, clove, and yeasty dark bread. Taste is less interesting .. very mildly mineral bitter with a slightly toasted character. Light bodied, prickly, almost aggressive carbonation. Refreshing in a manner. Decent low alcohol alternative. Very much a Dunkelweizen.

500ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average to huge, foamy, moderately lasting an dalcing, white head. Spicy yeasty and slightly bready, wheaty aroma, notes of clove, dusty and peppery spicy overtones. Taste is dry, spicy yeasty, wheat malty with a bready touch, hints of banana leaf, some clove; watery passages.

Thanks to kappldav123 for that 0,5 l bottle. Murky dark orange in the glass, small head. Typical mix of banana, clove and some yeast on the nose. Taste, different, some wheat and yeast, dry, malt with some bitterness. Some dry bitterness also in the aftertaste. Hard to discribe.

Bottle looks very simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, modest dry, fine yeasty-fruity. Hints of apricot. Well balanced finish and quite drinkable. Okay.

*Old rating from 2006. Hefig-fruchtiges, angenehm mildes Bier. Man schmeckt den geringeren Alkoholgehalt, aber das Bier ist frisch mit einer angenehm hefigen Note. Süffig und lecker!

Trübes orangegelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch leich hefig, fruchtig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig nach Banane, leicht würzig.

Aroma is floury with banana and some ripe fruits. Flavour has toffee and actually reminds me of those Kleine Kuh -candies from Lidl. Also some caramel and distant floury notes. Quite different from expectations.

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty malty and slightly toasted aroma with notes of banana, bread crusts and a spicy touch. Mildly sweet and toasty bitter flavour, light bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Slightly toasty malty and moderately fruity taste with notes of caramel lingering in the slim and moderately spicy finish. Well-made Dunkelweizen-light. 15.XI.11
