The release of our Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is around mid June. Born from European tradition, our Shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandys, Turbo Shandy, revs it up a couple of notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 25/10/2025.
Almost clear light golden topped with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is lime zest, grass, pale malts, herb, grains.
Taste comprises lemonade, grass, herb, lime, lemon, light sugars, cactus.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Tidy enough Radler ... but non Radler as such a high boost level!

Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. It smells very lemony. The flavor is of sweet malt and lemony tartness. It’s refreshing enough and it’s certainly hard to tell that it’s 7% abv.

Hoppin Frog Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale 7% Shandies are a popular summer beer cocktail where I’m from and we’re best enjoyed out on a sunny terrace but a beach will do in a pinch. Matte straw gold with fizzy eggshell white foam and a big sweet citrus aroma. The taste is ultra sweet and the high and surprised me. Too sweet for e almost cloying but it still tasted like summer.

12oz can from Lone Star. Tulip back at the Bnb. Chill-hazed, gold pour with a soapy, bleach white head. Smells like prepackaged margarita mix & soap; candied lime is already too sweet for me. Taste is syrupy/melted lime Skittles, artificial flavor burn, lots of salt & some slight bitterness lingering with a pale roast at the end. Cheap cocktail mixer. Getting increasingly nauseous.

Draught @ Kultainen Apina. Aroma has lemonade and malt. Flavour has lemonade, malt and grapefruit. Finishes with odd milk tones. Could not tell that this has 7% ABV. Well, perhaps from the aftertaste.

355ml can. Minimally milky, ylellow-ish, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy to macropore, diminishing, white head. Citrusy fruity aroma, notes of lemon, lemon juice, lemonade, slightly biscuity and minimally grainy, pale malty background. Taste is sweet, minimally sugary, pale malty and citrusy fruity, notes of lemon, lemon zest, lemonade, hints of lemon biscuit. A tad too sweet.
