OIBF Collaboration Brew: the idea started with our mutual appreciation for pale, sour, fruity beers. So with BBnO, we decided that a Gose, light sour wheat beer with a bit of salt, would benefit from some peaches added in the fermenter. Then something unexpected happened on the second day of OIBF, when we made the wort for this beer. When we started the mash, we noticed quite some dark malts getting into the mash. This was a remainder of the previous brew, with Dave of Lervig, when we decided to add some more dark malts during the sparge of what was to become 'Frazzled'. During the brew day we saw that we were ending up with a brown beer. We still decided to stick with the plan and add peach puree in the fermenter. Thanks, David!

Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is malt, fruity with peach and lemon, touch of caramel. Flavour is moderate sour. Body is light to medium. Bit weak on the palate and not fully realised. Mediocre, even BBN° couldn’t save this one.

Bottle. Murky brown color. No head. Caramel and peach in the aroma. Sour flavor with peanut butter, Toffee, peach and lemon. Hint of salt. The balance is awkward. I can’t understand this beer.

Bottle at Shelton Festival. Pours a hazy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is raisin, leather, wood. Slick body, dark fruit, light peach, tart, good.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and small, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Fruity, slightly salty, minimally oaty aroma, hints of morello, prune, dark bread, sour dough. Taste is tart, oaty, slightly fruity, minimally salty, hints of dark bread, a touch of prune and morello; light, watery, half-baked.

Bottle shared with - you guessed it - David. Pours hazy brown/amber, small white head. Smell is green herbs, earthy, mineral. Taste is full, bit sour, mild dryness. Creamy, earthy and herbal. not bad, but not great either.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Brown colour, thin off-white head. Aroma of rotting fruit at first, later on chocolate, koetjesreep, peach, burnt caramel, light tartness. Flavour is light sour, acidic, sour peach, chocolate, caramel, malts, light sour finish. Light bodied. Smell is a bit off-putting at first, becomes better with time, flavour is all over the place but keeps it interesting that way. I liked it.

Draught @ Gollem’s Proeflokaal, Overtoom 160-162, Amsterdam, Netherlands 1054 HP. [ As Oedipus / Brew By Numbers Thanks David ].Murky matt matt - almost grey medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, fruity, berry, peach, raspberry, canned peach, light tart. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, tart raspberry, sweet peach - canned peach. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
