Bottle 53/156, at DC tasting. Medium brown color with no head. Aroma of dark cocoa and milk chocolate. Taste is similar, with a bit of nutmeg. Interesting, but steps outside the boundaries of the style.

Bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a nearly opaque deep brownish black with very little white head. Aroma was very nice and unique. Exotic chocolate, hazelnuts, vanilla. Flavor is sweet, the oak finally kicks in, vanilla, more hazelnuts, chocolate, a little toasted bread. Finish is soft and very drinkable. Very nice.

courtesy of Markwise. notes of barrel though not overdone but keeping enough character to add a nice warming mouthfeel. Vanilla, chocolate malts, light bitter finish that is quickly followed by barrel goodness.
