10th December 2012
Clear dark red brown beer with a good pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry. Carbonated nip. Very mild dark malts with a vaguely Dr Pepper like fruity tang. Smooth lactose cream sweetness. Softish finish. All really well joined up. Impressed by this one - very nice.

Bottle from Jacks ’Westholme Stores’ Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, and consumed same day 20.10.11 Pours dark brown with no head yet some clear bubbles popping through surface and it is a tiny bit gassy, not sure what happened to the head though. On first taste I think coke (soft drink version) on second taste I still think the same, it just tastes like a soft drink to me and that drink is coke, there is a little tiny, tiny bit of alcohol there but it is well hidden. Its ok for an alcoholic soft drink. A5 A4 T5 P3 Ov10 2.7

Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, yeast, straw, caramel, and phenols. The flavor is sweet with notes of burnt plastic, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. The nose has some sweet roast, caramel and licorice. Solid body, sweet dark malts, dark overripe fruit, ashes and a smoky touch. Some warming alcohol in the finish. There’s a lot going on here, messy or adventurous? - take your pick. 030511
