Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of wavers1. Pours black with a warm reddish hue and a tiny beige head. The nose has roast and sweet dark dried fruits. Solid body, sweet roastiness, vanilla, raisins and plums. The smokiness is very subdued - close to non-existant. Ends sweet with hardly any bitterness. Much more of a Porter than a Smoked. But a nice Porter. 230211

Opaque black our that produces a minimal tn head that dissipates quickly. Roast malt, light smoke aroma. Lightly bitter. Some sweetness and a light smokeiness.

Thick and dark with a deep brown head. Aroma of molasses, malts, light smoke, some cocoa, roasted, light coffee. Flavor is full of rich roasted caramel malts, subtle smoke, light coffee, some chocolate, too. Lighter smokey notes than I expected but that aids it’s drinkability, in my opinion. Really nice porter.

Bottle. Pours a hazy near black with a tan head that dissipated to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma is full of roasted malts with just a slight backing of smoke. Flavor has more of a smoke note that combines nicely with the roasted malts and a bit of a light coffee note.

Bottle - thanks bigmmartin. Pours near black with a thin brown head. Nose is roasty, smokey, and chocolate. It’s got this nice, silky-sweet underlying char to it. Tastes malty, sort of dry. The smoke isn’t overwhelming, but complimentary as they suggest in the description. Light bitters and earthy in the end.

Location: Bottle at jcos's place, Homecoming Weekend 2010, 10/29/10
Aroma: The nose is mostly smokey and roasted malts, caramel, chocolate
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a medium sized tan head
Flavor: The flavor is roasted, malty, smoke subdued enough that is doesn't overpower
Palate: Medium bodied, with a fairly smooth feel on the mouth, and a moderate lengthed duration
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a solid beer. The smoke is restrained enough that it always the roasty malt flavors to become the showcase, which is fine with me as I'm not a huge fan of beers with overpowering smoky flavors. This one is pretty solid stuff.

A deep dark porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, light chocolate with light dark fruits notes. In mouth, a very nice porter with bitter chocolate and coffee grinds, powdery and smooth, but no Smoke on the Water....On tap at J. Ryans, August 29, 2010.

Bomber from Bruisin Ales. Pours very black with a foamy 3 finger tan head. Aroma is chocolate and bacon? Smoked chocolate? Full bodied with frothy/creamy carbonation. Smoke, chocolate, some bitter. Very good flavor.
