Bottle. Molasses malt and hay aroma. Dark chestnut with minimal head. Mildly sweet and smoky milk chocolate malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Nice.

Dark brown. Lightly smokey aroma with a heavy chocolate character. Has a lot of malts, almost too much as the maltiness kind of gets in the way. There’s a decent amount of smoke, I just want it to shine through more. Maybe a bit too much alcohol late - tastes like more than 8%, really.

Campfire and licorice nose. Mahogany, thin khaki head. Cherry and fig flavor initially. A bit maltier and less fruity at midpalate, charred oak, grass. Smoky campfire finish. Good transitions, balance and intensity, very well rounded. The use of smoked malts as very tastefully done. Generously rated, but it’s well deserved.

Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, sugar and a hint of smoke. Not much smoke flavor. Raisin and sugar flavors with some roasted malts. Medium body with minimal carbonation. A nice porter that’s a bit too sweet for me.

bottle - Pours black with a small light tan head. The aroma is full of sweet milk chocolate and also some mild smoke. The flavor is of sweet chocolate, roast malt, lactose, and subdued smokiness. It’s very sweet and the 8% abv isn’t noticeable at all. This brew is smooth and creamy. It’s good but needs more smoke, in my opinion.
