Golden colour, white head. Aroma of fusels, higher alcohols, banana, banana yeast (Westmalle?) Sweet flavour, yeast and pilsmalt. Finish pilsmalt, green banana and yeast. Not your typical saision. Not quite sure if it should go here, but it seems like this is the right place for this rating (thanks Rob!)
(Draught @ Emelisse Home Brew Day 2013, Kamperland. Listed as Hofbrouwerijke Saison)

30/XI/13 - on tap as Hofbrouwerijke Saison 6.5% (new entry or not?) @ Emelisse brewery, homebrew day - BB: n/a (2013-1107)
Clear pale orange beer, aery white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana, sweet and sugary, marzipan, cookie dough, vanilla, floral honey, some cleaning product. Pretty much about everything that a saison is not. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: some banana, bit sweet, more banana, marzipan, unpleasant bitterness, cookie dough. Aftertaste: unpleasant yeast, almonds, bitter hops, toasted malts.

[3/6/11] Bottle at ZBF 2011. Clear golden. Aroma of yeast and fruits. Sourish flavor with fruits, some yeasty spicy notes and a sweetish-sourish finish. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

Very pale strawcoloured beer with a small head. Subtle balance between spices, and a hint of lemony aromas. More lemony even than the nose, faint and balanced spices, as well as a hint at wholemeal bread. Quite tart, dry, refreshing. Not a saison as I define it, but AT LAST an original and very refreshing new Belgian beer. Good!
