Amber ale is one of my favorite beer styles. Malty and nutty aroma with deep copper color. This beer has a heavier body, malty with moderate hops and crispness, with a little sweetness and nutty flavor to finish. I don't like it as much as their Red Ale offering (which has a lighter body).

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 7/3/13

Aroma: The nose it full of sweet malts, with some dark fruits, caramel, toffee, and a bread
Appearance: It pours a mahagony color with a finger of beige head and some medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is heavy sweet with the same components as the nose, and minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a heavily sticky feel, and some lively carbonation
Overall Impression: This is an alright at best beer. It has heavy malts, but lacks balance. It isn't overly drinkable either. It's a beer, and I see times where I'd drink it, but it isn't a good beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy caramel, nut and a touch of cocoa. the flavor was tangy and malty with light nut, vegetal malts and a touch of cocoa. Medium finish and body. Decent for what it is.

(Bottle, Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm) Dark amber colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, dark bread, dried fruit, spicy hops and hints of cinnamon. Malty taste with notes of caramel, toasty malt, raisins, wort and slightly spicy hops in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Not really mind blowing, but balanced and tasty.
