0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’ as ’Thombansen Klassik Lippstädter Pils’ at 4.6% abv, best before January 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Grassy-spicy, slightly grainy and moderately floral-fruity aroma of fresh grass, grains and some citrus. Sweetish, slightly grainy, moderately fruity-grassy and a bit floral taste of grains, straw and a touch of citrus, followed by a short, rather bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and quite dry finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

0,5 l long neck bottle with a modern clear new designed label. Bought at Brause Syndikat, BI. Golden in the glass, little bit unclear, more than one finger head, but shortly disappearing. Grassy nose with some hop. Taste starts with a lot of grain and malt, smooth. Bitterness is present but in the background, some citrus hints. Increasing bitterness in the middle section and dominating the aftertaste. Although it´s only a Pilsener, I really enjoyed it.

1000ml bottle from the brewery.
Schade.

1000ml bottle [4.8% abv]. Minimally cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly floral hoppy aroma, grainy background. Taste is initially slightly floral hoppy with grainy background, in the finish flat bitter hoppy; very soft palate. Starts with a promising, unusual hop note, but finishes sadly in the standard flat way.

Poured up on tap at Thombansen’s pub with crystal clear gold body and white head leaving behind thin yet clumpy lacing. The aroma is light with a bit of toasted bread and grainy malts. The taste is much more assertive than the meek nose with some spicy hops that grow in bitterness as the grainy malts and lightly toasted bread notes come to the surface.

Leicht getreidig-herber Antrunk. Test vom 9.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,11,9,8,9 - 9,45

(on tap at the brewpub) Clear pale golden colour, firm and steady small white head. Dense malty aroma with grassy hops. Bittersweet flavour, light to medium body, quite balanced malty and hoppy taste; slightly bitter and a bit sticky finish.
