Bottled. A hazy red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops as well as a light note of mold. The flavor is sweet with notes of dust as well as lighter notes of smoke and fruit, leading to a dry dusty finish.

Bottled 65 cl. Courtesy of sincereNC. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Some fat Bamberg smoke in the nose. Pours a little thick and syrupy, some maple syrup perhaps and again lots of greasy smoke. Ends a little sweet with subdued hoppiness. But not a bad Smoked. 230211

22 oz bomber shared by Gregis. Pour is brown ruby with a one inch off white head. No lacing as the head falls. Aroma of camp fire gone out (I suppose extinguished would be the word), nicely smoked yet still tame enough to allow the malt to shine through. Caramel sweet malt behind that, even some rye peeking through. Interesting and complex nose. Taste is the roasty, smoky and bright hoppy maltiness, with an interesting blast of rye bread. The caramel sweetness is a lot less pronounced in the taste which really helped the rye and smoke play together. Palate is lighter bodied, medium carbonation. Clean and really drinkable. Often times smoked beers will get a bit overly one dimensional for me, this one was nice and complex. It reminded me a bit of Aecht Schlenkerla Fastenbier in the way that smoke was present but not dominant. Thanks for sharing this one Greg.

22 ounce bottle from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours a clear ruby red color with a thin head. Decent head retention and fair lacing. Aroma is caramel, fruit notes including strawberry and very light smoke. Taste is light smoke, caramel, toffee, peach, other fruit notes. Thin, papery vegetal hops. Medium bodied. Eh.

pours copper with frothy tan head. Aroma of light smoke, caramel malts with dark fruits and honey like nose. Taste. Good notes of smoke, roasted malts and light hops.I can’t help but notice some dark fruits with the rye being very faint. The overall smoke is light, remaining well in the after taste. The palate is light and smooth with a lasting caramel / smoke mouthfeel. A good smoke beer, low in alcohol, only regret is that the smoke had been a little more up front. With this low abv, the beer is highly enjoyable
