Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Golden amber with a thin white head; fruity aroma with some cereal grains; soft orangey citrus taste; with a dry floral finish - perhaps with a touch of lavender. Pleasantly refreshing.

Cask, handpump at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, August 1st 2013 Pours warm gold, good clarity but very little head. Some sweet malt and citrus on nose. Quite thick in mouth, much fuller flavoured than you expect and despite the relatively modest 4.6% abv if tasted blind I would have suggested this was far, far stronger, in fact I really feel like this is quite hefty and difficult to grasp its just 4.6 hence why I also feel that it sits more comfortably in IPA territory than as a Golden, EPA etc. Bittersweet, tangy, touch of dusty hop at end but essentially a fairly in yer face beer, really pretty hoppy but with a hefty sweet malty backbone. Condition wise perhaps a tiny bit warm, otherwise likeable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
