Gruit ales, a brewing style popular before the use of hops, use a mixture of herbs to impart bitterness and flavor. The protagonist of this particular gruit ale is Cistus Creticus, hand gathered at the peak of blooming to extract its intense character. The resulting brew boasts a dry, intense flavor profile with notes of resin, herbs and lemon, culminating in a satisfyingly bitter aftertaste. The ale's hay yellow to golden hue complements it's funky yeasty aroma, underscored by interesting herbal and resiny notes. With light body and medium carbonation, every sip of this resiny herbal tea

Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao, cheers mate! Had this sat outside on a gloriously sunny day here at Manglham, Bayerisch Wald, Tuesday 15th August 2023 listening to some random electro dance music on Tidal, just cooked a Chicken and Chorizo Lasagna for tonight's tea. Pours a sandy yellow with a colour large clean white head. A little dry, but nice light sweetness, herbs and a nice lemonyness, a little funky saison type edge, light bitterness, very nice and super refreshing.
