Cask @ Elm Tree, Cambridge. Hazy red brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, chocolate and nutty. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. Soft. 151018

Cask @ Elm Tree, Cambridge. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, caramel and hops. Fruity caramel finish.

Clear, copper colored, small off white head, not too lasting. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, some toffee, some grassiness. Taste is medium sweet malt, biscuit, nutty and toffee, grassy and lemony medium-light bitterness. Medium to light bodied, soft to flat carbonation, bit watery. (cask, The Rose, Bedford)

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head and a little lace. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a malt, light resin woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - toffee some biscuit perhaps a touch of apple. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid but doesn’t require copious notes.

Cask at The Haymarket. pours clear amber, thin off-white head. Nutty and biscuit aromas, hazelnuts on the taste. One-dimensional, but not bad.

Cask @ Bank, Manchester. Deeper gold colour with a creamy head. Has a lovely grain aroma and taste that linger in the palate.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Karamell, fruchtig. Geschmack trocken fruchtig, malzig, Karamell.

50cl bottle. Ambrée, brune légère, col se dissipant très vite, blanc cassé. Arôme malt pils-like, note de caramel, grains et fleui sur qcq notes de citron, on reste bien dans ce style bitter anglais. Palais bien pétillant, malt grillé/caramel typique d’une ale anglaise, pointe de café, léger en amertume, malt pâle-crystal et cara. Fini sur un profile à dominance houblonnée vers des notes de citrons. Légère, facile à boire, une bitter très anglaise comme les pils belges.
