Part of the Classic Ales 6-pack at the LCBO for Christmas 2014. Pours a clean amber colour with a beautiful creamy light beige cap, well-lasting and creaming up the glass with lace. Mild bread aromas from the malts, with some toffee appearing after breathing. This is also the case for the taste. Light cereal malts, caramel with hints of grass in the finish. A good looking, easy-drinking mild session bitter.

Bottled 500ml. -from random Tesco in Glasgow. Surprisingly cheap for UK occasions and yet even from the fridge (0.99 £). Dark golden coloured, small to medium off-white head, nutty caramel nose. Toasted malt, caramel and light herbal hoppy with dry bitter finish. Not bad and quite good for the price.

Pours a coppery/golden color, topped with a slightly dirty frothy head. A mild hoppy and grassy aroma is easily picked up. Balanced body, slightly more on the bitter side. Refreshing bittery feel in the end. Crisp. Very nice.

Cask @ The Crown, Shrewsbury drunk over a game of darts like a proper bloke. No denying it’s a classic English session bitter. Very easy drinking, moderately sweet, with teasingly thin caramel and malts. It is what it is!

Bouteille 50cl, BB 31/05/2014.

Bottle of Bank’s Amber Bitter shared with TO on board Baluba 19.05.18. Golden pale amber. White head and lacing. Moderate aroma of pale malt, amber malt and crystal malt. Same malt in taste, balanced with moderate hop bitterness. Very quaffable. Old rating of 30.05.14. Pale amber. Decent white head and lacing. Plum jam in aroma. Perhaps slightly overcarbonated. Thin mouthhfeel. Fine and well-balanced taste of a classic English bitter. Very high drinkability. [7/3/8/4/15=3.7]
