Brewed with Chevalier, Chocolate, Crystal and CaraRed, ruby in colour, hints of dark fruit over a satisfyingly complex malt base then judiciously dry hopped with Amarillo for a satisfying finish. Perfect for this time of year

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 18 May 2023) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of caramel, nuts, toast and red berries. Malty, slightly roasted taste with caramel, toast, crisp-bread, roasted nuts, red fruit and a gentle bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced mild. Nice one.

Cask @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Dark, perhaps brown with a ruby glow in colour, with a thinnish off-white head. Hopped mild with a modicum of sweetness, but generally a light dark-malty ale.
