Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris
Dark brown color, small head, disappearing quickly. Mild aroma of caramel and chocolate, with light lingering fruitiness, light alcohol. Good body strength, round mouthfeel, moderate sweetness; caramel flavor, with a hint of wheat and Christmas spices, light fruity touch (strawberries); low bitterness. The alcohol is not evident.
Quite good.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, spices, herbs, and matl. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, caramel, herbs, alcohol, brown sugar, and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, light yeasty and slight caramelish. Mild sour and wineous. Sweet, malty and caramelish. Light sour and winoues note. Light liqourice and mild fruity. Fruity and sweet finish. Clearly develops over time. Starts liqourice and goes into a dark Flemish Brown with age. Lovely further down the road.

750ml bottle @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Thanks to Caspar for this one. Hazy dark brown colour with lasting beige head. Rather a good darkish malt beer. Doesn’t taste of 13%. Good condition. Good in mouth. Lovely malts.

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Hazy brown beer with a residual tan head. Light soft palate. Mildly sour but sugary as well. Coca cola and generic fruits - well joined up. A pinch of spice in the finish which is soft and somewhat creamy. Not bad. Hides the alcohol well.
