500 ml bottle into snifter. Pours opaque black color with a nice 2 finger very dense dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a fairly thick lacing cap that lasts. Some thick lacing is left on the glass as well. Aromas of huge bourbon notes with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, wood, and a bit of vanilla. Good strong aromas here, decent balance, but a little heavy on the bourbon. Taste of huge notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel on the front; with some bourbon and vanilla in the back. Finishes with a fair amount of bitterness that lingers for a bit with coffee and roasted flavor. Outstanding balance of flavors, very smooth drinking for the alcohol level as well. Medium-full bodied with medium carbonation. Fairly creamy feeling as well. No alcohol noticed in the taste and a very slight warming on the finish. Overall an outstanding imperial stout. The nose was really strong on the bourbon, but the taste was great the bourbon sitting in the background.

Bottle shared by Jay at the post NotB tasting, thanks! Poured black with a dark brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a pretty strong coffee note with some roasted malts and a bit of chocolate as well as a light hint of bourbon. Flavor had smooth roasted malts with a strong coffee note but not much bourbon. Wish the bourbon would have come out a bit more on the tongue.

0.5l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Quickly fading tanned head with a near black body. Aroma is distinct vanilla, somewhat faint roasted malts, coffee and of course some bourbon, not much though. Surprisingly light-bodied / light drinkable and medium carbonation. Really nice profile with lots of roasted flavors hand in hand with coffee, vanilla, hops and a sweetness from the bourbon. Smooth as hell, nicely balanced and quite good!

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a pitch black with a dense and lacing light brown head. Hard roast charcoal aroma – some licorice as well. Medium body, very burned maltiness, dark dried fruits and charcoal, a little vanilla too but not much Bourbon really. Ends malt astringent. 160111
