500 ml bottle @ Patricks (thanks to Yngwie). Black body with a big beige head. Aroma of medium roasted malt, coffee, mild whisky and strong vanilla. Flavor is sweet, roasted, dark malt, coffee, fruity hops, bitter and warming alcohol from Bourbon. It’s complex and very balanced, quite soft and a long, bitter finish that feels drier than in the beginning. A successfully barrel experiment, very nice.

Bottle, at Patricks. A black one, topped by a big, creamy, tan head that lasts, although smaller. Cute lacings. There’s a lot of chocolate on the nose. Coffee, vanilla and bourbon too, some hints of hops. Warming, full-bodied and nicely carbonated, rather dry but with a good sweetness balancing the whole thing. Quite a lot of flavor, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bitterness and some booze. Lasting finish. A beer I could dip my nose into for ages. The flavor isn’t at the same level, but still very good. 110113

[Thanks to Geokkjer] Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of bourbon, oak wood, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Taste is medium sweet. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

50 cL bottle at MikkellerBar with joergen. Pours black to dark brown. Huge chocolate and creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and vague chalky. Mild fruity, bourbon, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Mild acidic andquite bitter. Lingering malty and bourbon smooth finish.
